Last Sacrifice chapter 5

The number one thing on Rose's mind: get away from Dimitri. It wasn't just because of their romantic past or how hard it was to be around him when he wanted nothing to do with her, it was because she didn't want him to get in trouble because of her. After a couple hours of silence Dimitri spoke up.
"Don't even think about it."
Rose tried to play dumb though and pretend she didn't know what he was talking about. He went on to saying it wouldn't work for her to try and escape. After arguing back ad forth about it though she figured she wasn't going to get anywhere so she moved onto the next topic: why wasn't she informed on the escaped, she thought she could help. He went onto explain though that if she would have known she could have given it all away. After arguing for awhile she gave up and everything became silent again.

They had to be extra careful on the road and where they went because word got out fast about what happened and had everybody out looking for them. They drove straight for awhile until they came a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania sign.

Dimitri explained quickly what was going on. There were guardians in the car that was following them and they needed to find a new car quick to throw them off. He pulled up to WEST LAND CINEMA. He told Rose to get out quickly and run the the mall across the street and walk around not drawing attention, he told her he'd meet her back there in a half hour. She didn't hesitate at all and sprinted out of the car.

Once in the mall she didn't think twice about ditching Dimitri. She was too scared and knew there were too many guardians at the time, and even though he drove her crazy she knew he'd have her best interest at heart. Once a half hour hit she went to their meeting spot but was getting worried because he didn't show up yet.

If I was in that situation I would probably be having panic attacks 24/7. I couldn't imagine having the whole vampire world after you and being calm about it. I would be freaked out if I was Rose knowing that Dimitri hasn't shown up yet. I would be worried for my self and him.

Last Sacrifice chapter 4

General view of the tunnel crowded with techno music fans where a stampede crushed at least 15 people to death and injured dozens at Germany's famous Love Parade festival on July 24, 2010 in Duisburg, Germany. Thousands of other revelers keep partying at the event unaware of the deadly stampede that started when police tried to block thousands more people from entering the already-jammed parade grounds.

Everyone was running everywhere trying to find their cars and families and leave court. They had no idea what was going on, but to Rose's surprise Lissa was shocked at all, she just stood there. In that moment Rose realized that Lissa had to be in on it but didn't know why. But then a commotion in the jail snapped Rose back into her own mind. There were grunts and exclamations being heard as She pressed herself against her cell bars to see what was going on. She didn't know what was going to happen or if her cell was going to blow up to, but it didn't. Shortly, the scuffling died down and the footsteps started coming closer. Out of anyone it ended up being her friends Eddie and Mkhail.
"What's going on?????" Rose demanded.
After a few short seconds they explained to her what was going on: they were breaking her out. They explained that there was no guardians left in the jail, that they all went to check out the explosion except for two, which they took down. They told her they had to hurry , so she quickly got up and out of her cell, but she was shocked to see who was the end of the hall. Dimitri.

Trying to ignore her romantic feelings she asked him why he was there and wasn't he suppose to be on house arrest? Eddie quickly answered for him though saying he "escaped" meaning they broke him out too.  Dimitri finally told them all to come on, that there wasn't much time.  As the turned the next corner another familiar face appeared: Adrian. Rose hugged her boyfriend and then asked him what his part was in this little "scheme." He explained that there was no way She and Dimitri could travel across court looking like themselves, so Adrian was there to disguise them with spirit. Plus he just wanted to see his girlfriend.

As soon as explanation were finished Adrian put up the disguises and they quickly headed across court. They ran to a parking garage to where their get away vehicle would be. Once arriving at the parking garage un-detected Dimitri pointed to the Honda civic. Why would you choose a Honda civic as a getaway car? Rose was wonder. They told her though that it would blend in and wouldn't be as noticeable once out of court.

Once Dimitri and Rose were in the car she asked how they were going to get out of court when there was a huge line to get out? Before he could even answer though another explosion happened on the south end of court, on the court's wall. The crowd went frantic, but Rose realized this made them an easy route to escape. Once out of court Rose asked why Dimitri was doing this, and she was furious at his answer. It wasn't for her at all, Lissa asked him to, and he felt like he owed her for his life. She was beyond pissed and told him off, saying he didn't have to stay with her and can drop her off as soon as they get to the main road. Dimitri quickly told her she wasn't going to get rid of her soon and she realized that protesting wasn't getting her anywhere.

Wow. The whole explosion thing would be crazy to see. If I was Rose I would be having mixed feelings. I would be excited that I was finally getting out of jail so that once I was gone I could clear my name, but I would be upset that the man I was in love with was only helping me because my best friend asked him to. It would be hard being stuck with the one you love when they didn't show any kind of emotion for you back. She's in for a long trip.

Last Sacrifice chapter 3

This chapter starts with the bond between Rose and Lissa disappearing. Rose couldn't figure out why this was happening. She was shocked and it was the worst day of imprisonment yet. It was agonizing for her not being able to make sure Lissa was okay, a fear surged through her. Knowing there was nothing she could do about it there she went to sleep.

She woke up the next day worrying that the bond would still be down, but it wasn't. She was relieved but she quickly found out the reason why she couldn't get through, Lissa was purposely hiding something from Rose. But what? This drove her ever crazier. Inside Lissa's mind Rose watched Christian meet up with Lissa. He reassured her that everything would be okay and that the plan would work. What plan though? Rose hated being out of the loop.

Daniella Ishkov, Adrian's mother, found Lissa in a panic state, asking where Adrian was. Lissa explained to her that he should be coming soon, that he was drunk last night so he was moving slow this morning. Rose sensed the lie in Lissa's voice, but why would she lie to Daniella? Everything that was going on this morning was confusing Rose, but she decided to continue watching to figure out exactly what was going on. Lissa went on to the funeral procession. She was representing the Dragmoirs ( one person from each of the royal families walked beside the casket as a sign of respect.

As they walked Rose realized Lissa's attention was somewhere else. She seemed to be starring off into space. The procession continued to walk to down the long path the chapel. Then Rose figured it out, or at least part of it. Lissa was starring at the two statues that were beside that chapel. But why? They walked closer and closer and before Rose could even think of a reason why Lissa was looking at those figurines...BOOM! they exploded and everything turned into ciaos.

If I was Rose in this situation I would be freaking out as well. Not knowing what is going on when you can tell someone is lying would make me want to figure it out even more. If I saw those statues explode I would probably freak out. I wouldn't know what was going on and why that happened. I would think it was a terrorist attack or something, but apparently Lissa had something to do with it, but why?

Last Sacrifice chapter 2

Chapter 2 starts off with Rose surrounded by ghosts in her cell. She trys to summon Tatiana because she is the one with the answers. Finally she appeared, in that bloody state that she was found in her room. Rose asked her question after question.
"Did you Write this?"
"Is it true?"
But Tatiana didn't say anything. She just gazed at Rose. With frustration, Rose gave for the time being and pushed her walls back up to block out the ghosts. Starting to get bored Rose decided to stretch out on the little bed that she had and tune into Lissa. Rose thought she would be moping around that her friend was locked up, but she was dress shopping. Then Rose realized just what for, the queen's funeral.

There Lissa got into a argument with the boutique owner. The owner insisted She get a long velvet dress to go along with tradition but Lissa was in no mood to be told what to do and knew it was suppose to be more than 90 degrees outside. There was no way she was wearing long sleeves, so she went with a knee length sweetheart dress.

Christan Ozera, Lissa's boyfriend, then showed up saying he had some good news. He told Lissa ( and Adrian who showed up during the who dress argument) that Dimitri was going to be under less supervision. He still needed to have two guards with him at all times, but he wasn't being kept in a cell no longer. This news frustrated Rose and she went back into her own mind. She was happy for Dimitri, but was still mad at him that he only wanted to see Lissa and wanted nothing to do with her.

If i was in Lissa's position i would feel really frustrated and upset to. I don't think I would personally be able to handle it as well as she does. I would feel horrible if I knew my best friend was wrongfully locked up and there was nothing I could do about it, while someone I respected was murdered and the killer was still out there. If I was Rose I would feel confused, sad, and mad too if the man I was inlove with and just set out to restore his life didn't want anything to do with me or even acknowledged me. I think it would tare my heart apart.

The Last Sacrifice by Ricelle Mead

The Last Sacrifice is the final book in the vampire academy series. I decided to read this book because the previous five books in the series really caught my attention. I love the romance to action ratio in this series and I'm sure it'll be the same in the last book.

The first chapter starts off with Rose behind bars in the basement of the court. She has been arrested for allegedly killing the queen, but she was wrongly accused. No one believes she is innocent because her and the queen had a rocky relationship to begin with. The only thing she has in possession is a note that she keeps reading over and over. It's from queen Tatiana, saying how if she was reading this something terrible has happened. She goes on to say that Lissa is not the last Dragmoir, her father Eric Dragmoir had an illegitimate child, which can give Lissa the power she rightfully deserves in court.

Rose didn't know if she could believe  Tatiana. She played with this thought in her head which seemed like forever. Eventually she decided she would rely on the only source she knew she could: The ghosts. So in that instant she let down the walls she has been keeping up for so long, and the ghosts seep in.

If i was in Rose's position I would be going crazy. I don't know how she stays so calm when she has been wrongfully accused of murder and now knows a secret about her best friend and has no way of reaching her. I also find it interesting that Rose is able to talk to ghost's, especially the ghost's of people she knew. That would be very helpful when you needed to find out answers that only they would know.

Spirit Bound Chapter 9

Once arriving at the restaurant they immediately knew who Robert was because Lissa could spot his aura from across the room. After approaching the table Victor sat beside his brother and then the others followed. After Robert and Victor caught up a little bit Robert asked who the rest of them were. Victor explained that they needed to ask Robert some questions, that it was the price of him being allowed to visit him. After pushing and pushing him Robert finally asked what we wanted to know.  Rose, though nervous, asked Robert about his so called accomplishment on freeing a strigoi. He seemed out of it. But then he said her. He freed Her. Robert tells her hoe strigoi are made by stakes so they only way they could be brought back is by a stake. Rose quickly argues though that she has killed many strigois with stakes and they have stayed dead. But Robert proceeds to tell her it takes a special stake; a stake charmed with spirit.

Rose question's Robert though, asking if its really that easy. But he tells her its not easy at all. He then goes on to tell her that she can't do it,, only a spirit user can, and this immediately sends her into a panic. There was no way she was going to put Lissa into that kind of danger. Anger suddenly rose in Lissa as she told Rose that he couldn't tell her what to do. The two then continued to argue back and fourth on the matter.

After a little time Robert offered to show them how to infuse a stake with spirit. They all quickly realized that it wouldn't be smart to pull it out right there in the restaurant. Victor suggested they go up to te hotel room and after some hesitation Rose agreed and they left the restaurant and headed up to the room.

The casino was crowded and Rose and Eddie tried really hard to keep the group together to prevent Victor and Robert from making an escape.Eddie saw a stairway that would be free of crowds so they went towards it but it was lost cause because it was a fire exit only. As they turned around and took a couple steps Rose yelled at Eddie to stop, who was leading the group. The nausea came over her, which was her inner sign that strigoi were near by. She then reallied their was strigoi between them and the casino.

Spirit Bound Chapter 8

They didn't know if Victor was tricking them by saying his brother was in Las Vegas, but with no other leads and needing to get out of Alaska fast, it was the only thing to do. So they headed off. They soon ran into a slight problem though. Victor didn't have an ID so they couldn't take a public airplane. Once returning the can to Bud's Car Rental, Victor asked him if there was a private airport near by where they could take a charter. Bud told them their was but it wouldn't be cheap, but money was of no issue to them. Lissa had a trust fund which funded her with money each month and Rose had a left over credit card from when she sweet-talked Adrian, her boyfriend, into funding her trip to Russia in the previous book. At the airport they met up with a pilot who could take them, but only to Seattle, there he knew another pilot though who could take them all the way to Las Vegas.

On the plan ride Rose was able to get out of Victor why his brother was living in such a highly populated place, such as Las Vegas, because vampires usually lived in smaller cites where they could go undetected, especially ones like Robert Doru who do not want to be found. Eventually he gave in and told them that Robert didn't live in Las Vegas proper, that he lived in a small city just outside of it near a canyon. Victor told them though that Robert valued his privacy so they would have him meet them in the middle of Las Vegas. Once they arrived they took a taxi to the middle of the strip. They instructed the taxi driver to take them to the Luxor, which was the hotel they were going to be staying at. They were staying there because Eddie had always wanted to stay their; he told them if your going to stay anywhere in Vegas it might as well be in a pyramid.

Once they were all settled in their room Rose commanded Victor to call Robert. She wanted him to use Lissa's cell phone instead of the hotel phone so she could have record of the phone number. It took some convincing on Victor's behalf to get Robert to believe he was actually out of prison. He then started to make his pitch on how Robert needed to come meet them. After twenty minutes Victor finally convinced him to come meet them and he set up a dinner  at one of the hotel's restaurants and then disconnected. They waited in the room until dinner. Suddenly a knock was heard from the door. Lissa new it was Adrian, who was Rose's boyfriend, because he was also a spirit user and when spirit users are in close range they can sense each other auras. He walked in happy to see all of them, except when he saw Victor he was in shock. He demanded what was going on and told them that everyone was out looking for him. Now that Adrian was here, he wouldn't leave so Rose had to go tell him what was going on.

Rose took Adrian out of the room and downstairs of the casino so that her friends and Victor wouldn't hear them. Adrian took of after finding out Rose's true intensions on why she freed Victor : So she could get to Robert, who hopefully would help her turn strigoi back, and if it worked she could turn Dimitri back, who was her "ex-boyfriend" who she still longed for. Rose really didn't want Adrian made at her, she truly did care for him a lot and loved being with him. She asked him to help but he just said he needed more drinks and took off. As he left she told him they were meeting at 4:30 at the restaurant, and then he was out of sight.

4:30 came around and it was time for them to head out. When Rose opened the door way Adrian was standing there, as if he was about to knock. He said hey in his normal casual formal and told them he was going to join them. Then they were off to the restaurant where they were meeting up with Robert Doru and hopefully finding out about Dimitri's only salvation.
